General Terms and Conditions of Sale

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "GTC") define the rights and obligations between Rock 4 You, the operator of the Danse Volontaires school, and any person registering for one of the activities offered by the school. Registration implies unreserved acceptance of these GTC.

Article 1 – Purpose

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services offered by Danse Volontaires, including but not limited to:

  • year-long dance classes,

  • single and trial classes,

  • parties and events,

  • any other activity organized by Danse Volontaires

Article 2 – Registrations and commitment

Registration for an activity is individual and non-transferable. It becomes final upon receipt of payment for the chosen activity. Registration for an annual course constitutes a commitment for the season in question, unless otherwise stipulated in these GTC.

Article 3 – Organization of courses throughout the year

Danse Volontaires guarantees a minimum of 30 class sessions per course for each school year, running from September to June. In the event of a teacher's temporary unavailability, Danse Volontaires is committed to maintaining the class, provided the absence is notified at least 12 hours in advance.

All classes are open for the first five sessions. After this period, only time slots with at least 18 students registered for the year will be maintained.

If a course that does not meet this requirement is closed, Danse Volontaires will offer either:

  • a transfer to another class,

  • or a pro-rata refund for the missed sessions, if a change of class is not possible.

Article 4 – Prices and payment terms

Prices are quoted in euros, including all taxes. Accepted payment methods are those communicated by Danse Volontaires at the time of registration. Unless otherwise specified, any service commenced is payable in full.

Article 5 – Cancellation, absence and force majeure

Registration for a year-long course constitutes a firm commitment. Any cancellation request due to force majeure must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, accompanied by supporting documentation.

The following are considered force majeure events:

  • moving outside the Île-de-France region,

  • a lasting physical incapacity making it impossible to continue the course, attested to by a medical certificate indicating a period of absence exceeding three months.

Personal or emotional reasons (such as, but not limited to, a change in personal situation, lack of motivation, or emotional distress) do not constitute force majeure.

Rock 4 You has one month to review and respond to the request. If the request is accepted, a flat administrative fee of €20 may be deducted.

Article 6 – Internal Regulations

These internal regulations form an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. Registration implies acceptance of these regulations.

6.1 Attendance and Punctuality

Regular and punctual attendance is expected. In case of lateness, access to the class is subject to the instructor's approval.

6.2 Conduct and Respect

All participants are required to behave respectfully towards instructors, other students, staff, and the premises. Any behavior contrary to the rules of good conduct, safety, or hygiene may result in sanctions.

6.3 Exclusion

In case of non-compliance with the internal regulations, Danse Volontaires reserves the right to impose a temporary or permanent exclusion. Exclusion will be notified by email, specifying the reasons for the exclusion. In case of permanent exclusion, no refund will be issued.

Article 7 – Liability and Insurance

Each participant is responsible for any personal injury they may sustain while participating.

Rock 4 You has taken out comprehensive business insurance covering its premises and facilities. Any damage directly attributable to the facilities provided in Rock 4 You's venues will be covered by this insurance, within the limits and conditions stipulated therein.

Article 8 – Right to one's image

Unless they expressly object in writing, participants authorize Danse Volontaires to use photographs and videos taken during school activities for communication purposes in all media. Any request to remove content should be sent to Danse Volontaires, which undertakes to respond as soon as possible.

Article 9 – Room Rental

Rock 4 You offers its premises for rent to third parties for uses compatible with their intended purpose.

9.1 Purpose of the Rental

The rental agreement covers exclusively the temporary provision of the premises, without educational supervision or permanent monitoring, unless otherwise specified.

9.2 Use of the Premises

The renter agrees to use the premises in accordance with their intended purpose, respecting safety, hygiene, and good neighborly conduct rules.

Any illegal, dangerous, or undeclared activity is strictly prohibited.

9.3 Liability and Insurance

The renter is responsible for any material or personal injury occurring during the rental period, caused by themselves or by persons present under their responsibility.

The renter agrees to maintain appropriate liability insurance coverage for the activity being carried out.

9.4 Damage and Restoration

The premises must be returned in the same condition in which they were made available. Any damage, breakage, or loss of equipment will be subject to additional charges.

9.5 Schedule

The renter agrees to strictly adhere to the agreed schedule. Any overtime may be subject to additional charges.

9.6 Cancellation

The cancellation policy for the rental is specified at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed, any late cancellation may result in the partial or total retention of any payments made.

9.7 Declaration of the Number of Participants

All rental requests require an honest and truthful declaration of the expected number of participants. Any manifestly false or intentionally misleading declaration may result in:

– an adjusted invoice based on the actual number of participants,

– a flat-rate surcharge of €50 as compensation,

– refusal of future rentals, or even exclusion from the premises and activities of Danse Volontaires and Rock 4 You.

Rock 4 You reserves the right to verify the actual number of participants at any time during the rental period.

9.8 Right of Termination

Rock 4 You reserves the right to immediately terminate the rental in the event of non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions, without any refund being due.

Article 10 – Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute and failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts will be those of the jurisdiction where Rock 4 You's registered office is located.
